Distinctive new Chalk Paint® colours inspired by the incredible home of the Bloomsbury Group.
A creative soul is never still.
When Chalk Paint® creator Annie Sloan first set foot in Charleston—an English farmhouse set deep in the Sussex countryside, the combinations of textures and colours she encountered there made a lasting impression. In 1916 Charleston became the home of Bloomsbury Group artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, two of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century. During the next fifty years they transformed the home from an unremarkable 17th century farmhouse into a decorative masterpiece.
Now, inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s groundbreaking use of colour and texture, Annie has collaborated with the Charleston Trust to create a unique range of Chalk Paint® colours inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s vision. The resulting colours—Firle, Rodmell, and Tilton—are warm, inviting, and utterly unique. All three exclusive Charleston colours are available to buy as part of three sets designed by Annie, each curated to include two complementary colours from the existing Chalk Paint® palette, one Charleston colour and a Clear Chalk Paint® Wax to protect your finished work. They also come individually in liter tins. We have all three in stock and would love to show you how to use them.
